Dr. Larry M. Goldstein is Professor of Mathematics at USC Dornsife College of Letters, Arts and Sciences. He earned a Ph.D. in Mathematics from the University of California, San Diego, in June 1984. Professor Goldstein’s research is focused on Stein’s method in statistics and distributional approximation, concentration inequalities, sampling schemes, mathematical molecular biology and optimal stopping. He has written numerous journal articles and co-authored numerous books, and served as Associate Editor of Bernoulli from 2010–2013.
